Theory test and Hazard Perception

You can't apply for your practical test until you've passed the Theory Test.

The test is made up of two parts - a multiple choice questionnaire and Hazard Perception video test.

The actual theory test questions are no longer published. Those found in any revision materials will give you an idea of the questions and answers to expect but will not be exactly the same as those you will face during the test.

The multiple-choice questions in the theory test are based on 3 books:

• The Highway Code
• Know your traffic signs
• Driving - the essential skills
